Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading principal contractor who are looking to recruit a Civil Quantity Surveyor with an engineering background on a long-term contract for its Wastewater Treatment project in North east of London.
Key skills required for the Civil Quantity Surveyor

Supervise and verify compliance with quality standards during the construction phase of the wastewater treatment plant.

Ensure that civil engineering works comply with applicable international regulations, project specifications, and internal quality standards.

Implement quality control plans and internal auditing processes to ensure consistency and performance of on-site activities.

Review and approve quality documents, including procedures and inspections.

Review contractual aspects with the client to coordinate claims.

Conduct internal audits of the project to identify any deviations.

Ensure proper execution of material and construction process quality inspections.

Must hold excellent communication skills to manage relationships at various levels with the client and other disciplines involved in project execution

Must have a background as a Qualified Engineer / Engineering background

Hold around 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a similar sector / large industrial projects and understand international regulations related to Civil Engineering projects.
