Senior CS&A Engineer - Warrington
CONTRACT
Senior Structural Engineer - Nuclear August start Rate (Inside IR35) - £35 - 50ph Duration - 12 months Warrington     About the role: Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a leading company within the Nuclear and Defence sectors to recruit a Senior CS&A Engineer for its Bristol site. The Senior Structural Engineer will be reporting to the Principal Engineer and play a project critical role and comes with an hourly rate of up to £50ph and a hybrid or remote set up depending on the calibre of the candidate.   • Deliver high quality structural and civil design solutions for Nuclear projects, showcasing expertise in this specialized field.
  • Carry out design and analysis using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot as well as producing hand calculations.
  • Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
  • Liaise with Technicians in the preparation of Revit models.
  • Act as a technical authority within the team, assisting and mentoring where appropriate.
  • Ensure all work to be carried out with a positive attitude toward safety, both in design and in the office environment.
  • Responsible for the management of project delivery including feasibility and concept studies
    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Degree level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Currently or working towards Professional Chartership (ICE or IStrucE).
  • Previous experience in the Nuclear industry or with seismic loading.
    Personal skills: The Senior role would suit someone who is:
  • Currently or previously worked in the Nuclear industry.
  • Currently or eligible for SC Clearance.
  • Happy to travel to sites as necessary.
    Salary and benefits of the Senior role:
  • Hourly rate up to £50ph.
  • Expenses paid for all travel.
  • Potential for future project work.
