Role: Project Engineer (multi discipline)
Location: Birmingham
Package Details: £350 - £360 per day outside IR35
Introduction
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join a team working on an exciting project in Birmingham. The candidate ideally would have a hands-on approach. The client is looking for a candidate who has a can-do attitude. It would be advantageous if you came from a multi-disciplined background. This is an exciting role with a great career prospect. For the right candidate this opportunity could lead to other projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the project manager in assessing the suitability of the design for each phase of the lifecycle (e.g., tender; construction; commissioning; handover).
- Liaising with equipment suppliers on engineering matters in line with project specification and the best practices for the client.
- Support the site team from an engineering viewpoint in reviewing Site-Specific Risk Assessments/Method Statements for site installation work.
- Have a strong understanding of Health and Safety
- You will be gathering data and technical information to help support the project.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Previous Project engineering experience (multi discipline)
- Experience in writing tender packages
- Mechanical background would be advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing, translate product drawings into actionable process information and develop design ideas and plans successfully
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations.
- Experience working with Energy projects and equipment is advantageous for example CHP, ASHP, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework and EC & I works.
