EC&I Designer - Nuclear

Remote Working / Multiple locations Warrington, Bristol, Newbury, Leicester or Cumbria

Salary of £30,000 - £38,400 + Benefits

 

Introduction…

Astute are looking to recruit several EC&I Designers to join a prestigious Engineering Consultancy within the Nuclear sector. EC&I Designers will be responsible for designing the technical deliverables across multiple nuclear projects at very different stages of plant lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the EC&I Designer, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and producing drawings and project documentation throughout the design lifecycle
• Liaising with colleagues and stakeholders during the design lifecycle
• Developing innovative design solutions and finding solutions for the manufacturing and installation issues
• Assisting more senior designers in a range of activities such as estimates, maintenance and improvement
• Support the business winning process through input into or review of tender requirements, including estimates
• Other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for EC&I Designers with the following:

• HND or equivalent in the relevant subject
• Relevant experience in a similar role either in Nuclear or a heavy process industry such as power generation, oil & gas, chemical, or defence
• Knowledge of CAD
• Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice
• Incorporated Engineer status
