Introduction…

We are looking for a Principal Engineer with a mechanical bias to join an international defence company in Devonport. You will support the design of mechanical systems for the infrastructure of the dockyard facility.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Principal Engineer - Mechanical, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the design of mechanical systems for the infrastructure of the dockyard facility.
• Working closely with the design team to create nuclear process systems e.g., fresh water, demineralised water, radioactive effluent processing etc.
• Aiding the design of industrial gas systems e.g., low- and high-pressure air, welding gases etc.
• Assisting in the design of mechanical building services.
• Attending site to assist with the installation of newly designed systems.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Be an experienced Chartered Engineer.
• Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• Experience in high- and low-pressure systems.
• Need to be eligible to qualify for SC clearance.
