Astute’s Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit as Health and Safety Advisor through the night shift to oversee the Mechanical works on a 2-3 month contract for its Scotland site.
The HSE Advisor role comes with a rate of £400-£500 per day.
Key skills:

Act as the primary health and safety point of contact during the mechanical phase of the project during the night shift, ensuring alignment with the project's overall safety objectives.

Ensure all site activities comply with relevant legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations, HSE standards) and company policies.

Oversee and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work systems, particularly for high-risk activities such as lifting operations, confined spaces, and hot works.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and reviews to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

Work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is prioritized and integrated into project planning and execution.

Maintain accurate records of safety activities, including inspection reports, incident investigations, and training logs.
