Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a leading power Company to recruit Mechanical Technician for their Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGT) Power Station in Plymouth.    The Maintenance Technician role comes with a salary of up to £48,000 + benefits. There are both days and shift-based roles available, the shift role also has a shift allowance of £11,800 attached.   If you’re an apprentice-trained Mechanical Technician with experience on heavy industrial sites then submit your CV to apply today.      Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Technician role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will carry out: •    Fault finding and maintaining mechanical assets across the power station including pumps, compressors, valves, turbines, pipework etc. •    Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS (SAP) •    Supervising and directing contractors. •    Assisting in commissioning activities. •    Carry out project work and activities as directed. •    Ensuring HSE compliance at all times. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: •    At least 5 years of experience of hands-on maintenance in a heavy process industry, ideally in the power generation sector but other heavy industries will be considered •    A relevant engineering qualification in a mechanical engineering - HNC, ONC, C&G etc. •    Excellent IT skills and the ability to use a CMMS, ideally with SAP experience Personal skills The Mechanical Technician role would suit someone who has: •    Excellent team work and communication skills •    Ability to prioritise tasks  •    Proactive attitude towards health & safety Salary and benefits of the Mechanical Technician role •    Salary of £40,000 - £48,000 + shift allowance (where role is shift based) •    Benefits package including private medical insurance •    Opportunity to work for a leading power company   INDPOW
