Supply Chain Risk Manager

Contract Length: 12 months

Warrington/Carlisle/Crewe/Whitehaven – Hybrid working. Some travel will be required £300-£400/day Inside IR35 Start Date: ASAP

 

Introduction…

We have a fantastic opportunity to support the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain and contribute to the success of a large nuclear organisation. You will be developing and embedding an effective process to manage and monitor Supply Chain Risk.  

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Supply Chain Risk Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and embedding a fit for purpose supply chain risk management process
  • Ensuring the Commercial Directorate risks are updated and managed accordingly
  • Taking the lead on developing Critical Supplier contingency plans
  • Working in conjunction with Sourcing Team to identify risks and opportunities to enable effective management of categories and associated areas of spend
  • Develop monthly “Macro Supply Chain Issues” reporting for distribution across the business
  • Development, Leadership and Management of Business continuity planning across the Commercial Directorate, whilst simultaneously ensuring alignment to Enterprise-wide mechanisms and plans
  • Support the Head of Procurement & supply Chain in ensuring the Commercial Division meets its legislative, regulatory, customer and stakeholder obligations always.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Detailed & practical understanding of identifying and managing risk related to Supply Chains
  • Practical understanding of how to develop and implement a Supply Chain Risk management process
  • Detailed understanding of the governance framework a public procurement function operates under e.g., Public Contracts Regulations, Government Commercial Operating Standards, Public Procurement Notes etc.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their key drivers, and managing their requirements
  • Please note a drugs & alcohol testing & DBS check will need to be completed prior to commencing work  

Desirable experience:

  • Member of a recognised professional institute or body (e.g., MCIPS, IAACM, IRM)
  • Degree in Business/Economics/Law or equivalent experience
  • Usage of Atamis and Sage systems
  • Security Clearance: BPSS Basic
