The O&M Site Manager role comes with a starting salary of up to £50,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the O&M Site Manager role
Reporting to the General Manager you will:

Manage the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of multiple district heating and energy centre sites

Take full ownership of projects from adoption through to operational delivery, including input at bid and pricing stages

Oversee the transition of new heat networks into operation, implementing effective processes and procedures

Monitor site performance through data analysis, remote systems, and proactive maintenance planning

Build and maintain strong client relationships, leading regular reporting and review meetings
-
Manage operational budgets, KPIs, and identify corrective works to improve system performance

Coordinate supply chain activities, specialist services, and call-out contracts
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new technical and commercial offerings
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in engineering, operations management, or a related field

Proven experience managing large-scale energy or infrastructure projects (e.g. district heating, CHP, boilers, energy centres)

Strong understanding of plant operations, controls, and systems such as BMS/SCADA
-
Working towards or holding professional accreditation (e.g. CEng, IEng), with relevant health & safety knowledge (e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH)
