The Electrical Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £50,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Technician role
Reporting to the Electrical Engineer you will:

Support electrical maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment is correctly operated, maintained, and faults are promptly addressed.

Assist in planning and supervising shutdowns, including preparation of method statements and risk assessments.

Investigate and resolve electrical faults, ensuring timely diagnosis and repair across plant systems.

Ensure availability of emergency repair services, including out-of-hours breakdown response.

Support calibration activities, ensuring tools and equipment meet required standards.

Assist in managing plant computing and communication systems, supporting system reliability.

Help coordinate specialist maintenance contracts, under the guidance of the Engineer.

Contribute to spare parts management, including testing, storage, and recommendations for stock.

Collaborate across teams, working closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors.

Promote a strong safety culture, complying with all procedures and actively reporting hazards or incidents.

Engage in ongoing training and development, maintaining a clean, professional work environment and supporting wider site operations as needed.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer with relevant Level 3 / HNC qualification

Experience / knowledge of high voltage systems is highly desirable

Experience working in heavy industrial setting

A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent is desirable
