Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to Quality Manager on-site, you will:

Manage a team of Quality Engineers, Technicians, Technical Reviewers, and Coordinators to ensure compliance with quality assurance measures.

Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures in line with ISO 9001 & ISO 19443 standards.

Lead and manage Quality Engineering & Technical Reports.

Provide technical and quality guidance to the Quality Control department.

Develop and maintain project processes for successful quality deliverables.

Foster a Right First-Time, On Time, Every Time mindset.

Promote and embed Nuclear Safety Culture behaviours.

Assure efficient manufacturing and construction processes.
-
Act as the primary contact for all Project Quality aspects.

Manage quality assurance for manufacturing and construction activities, including NDT and dimensional checks.

Communicate quality matters with clients and provide feedback to project teams.

Analyse and resolve process quality issues and manage KPI data.

Support Lessons Learned programs and conduct supplier visits as needed, continually training the team on company policies and guidelines.

Coordinate quality improvement plans and compliance with Contract Quality Assurance Plans.

Prepare and review project quality documentation.

Oversee non-conformance management and corrective actions.

Support Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering.
-
ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification.
-
Proven experience as a QA Engineer/Manager.
-
Strong knowledge of Quality tools and systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

Experience managing multiple projects and leading investigations.
-
Sound welding, fabrication, and installation knowledge.
-
Experience in a highly regulated industry is advantageous.

Salary and benefits of the HSE Lead role

Competitive basic salary of up to £80,000 DOE
-
25 days annual leave per year raising to 30 (1 day for every 2 years’ service)
