Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a market leading renewable energy provider to recruit a BESS Electrical Engineer.
The strategically important BESS Electrical Engineer role comes with a salary of £50k-£60k basic, 12.5% bonus, Pension, health cover and life assurance.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:

Produce substation layouts, SLD preparation, wiring schematics, cable sizing calculations, earthing layouts, protection scheme development, cable containment solutions, etc.

Ensure engineering designs are completed to planned timescales.

Evaluating technical specifications in the tender documentation packages and reviewing risks and implications of the requirements.

Electrical design activities for the DC and AC installation of energy storage projects
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
HNC/HND or equivalent minimum; BSc, BEng or equivalent desired
Personal skills:
The BESS Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Enthusiasm towards decarbonisation and renewable energy
-
Experience within energy storage either in consultancy, DNO, ICP, renewable energy developer, or alternatively another engineering environment mandatory.

Good knowledge of electrical design software (eplan or similar)

Knowledge and understanding of international and UK electrical standards
