About the role:
Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading service provider, offering technical services for the full life cycle of Photovoltaic (PV) plants. Together we are looking for a O&M Solar Field Technician to support their clients large scale and utility scale assets across Leeds and Sheffield.
The O&M Solar Field Technician role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 (DOE), Overtime and development opportunities and other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties:
As the O&M Solar Field Technician, you will:

Maintain and carry out a proactive maintenance program to maximize asset performance. performance.

Conduct tasks on commercial ground mount and rooftops solar.

Regularly monitor alarms and generation statistics via the remote management system.

Promptly identify and respond to fault situations.

Adhere to company health and safety protocols.

Engage in ongoing training, maintain records, and manage contractors as needed.

Ensure test equipment is fully functional and calibrated.

Participate in an on-call rota.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.

BS7671 wiring regulations to 18th Edition.
-
Experience performing O&M responsibilities on commercial or utility scale solar.

HVAP (desirable).

The O&M Solar Field Technician role would suit someone who is:

Flexible to cover multiple sites in your region, with the possibility for overnight stays and participation in an on-call rota.

Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
