Site Manager – Renewables Midlands Salary from £55,000 to £65,000 DOE     About the role: Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Site Manager for its nationwide sites. The strategically important Site Manager role comes with a salary of up to £65,000, a pension, and KPI-driven bonuses. If you’re a Site Manager and are looking to work for an organisation that puts integrity and people at the forefront of everything it does, then upload your CV to apply today.                     Responsibilities and duties: Reporting to the Head of Site Management UK you will:
  • Act as the liaison between the Employer and stakeholders like Clients, ICPs, DNOs, Subcontractors, Landowners, OEMs, and Technical Advisors.
  • Supervise project resources—engineering team, on-site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Direct on-site management for utility-scale solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
  • Prepare timely on-site HSE, progress, and quality reports.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and on-site activities efficiently.
  • Handle site documentation for project handover and O&M or safety file compilation.
  • Identify and escalate risks to budget, schedule, or quality to Project Management.
  • Manage materials, logistics, and deliveries on-site.
  • Facilitate seamless stakeholder communication and coordination for smooth operations.
  • Ensure work meets quality and contractual standards.
  • Maintain top HSQE levels, complying with UK HSE and CDM regulations.
    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A black CSCS card is preferable.
  • SMSTS trained.
  • Experience constructing ‘Tracker’ mounting structure is a plus.
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) is preferable.
  • First Aid trained - preferable.
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager on utility-scale solar PV projects (20MW+) is highly desirable.

  • Self-starter with a commitment to self-development.
  • A passion for renewable energy.
  • Flexible – this role will require managing several sites and you will be required to stay locally for the construction phase.
  • Desire to work in an international company.
  • Fluent in English. German speaking is desirable.
