Our client is a leading nationwide integrated waste management business providing collection, treatment, recycling, and technologically driven energy generation services across the UK. Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to identify and drive new business activities within the commercial and industrial sectors.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing potential market opportunities and generating leads within the commercial and industrial sectors over telephone, LinkedIn, email campaigns and site visits
- Understanding of the commercial landscape for developing strong business pipelines, proactively selling profitable new business to achieve and exceed quarterly / annual new business targets.
- To manage proactively and reactively, the selling of profitable new business within the sales territory and identify new prospect lists for business opportunities
- Report call, lead, quote, and contract activity on to the Company Operating System
- Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly personal performance to the Regional Sales Manager
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Excellent sales experience, developing, managing, and implementing new business services.
- Strong desire to exceed and generate business
- Ability to negotiate and strong selling skills.
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- An understanding of the waste industry would be desirable
Salary & Package

- Basic salary of £35,000 per annum
