Construction/Site Manager

Astute are partnered with a business who develop, engineer, finance, construct, operate and maintain large scale solar photovoltaic projects. Globally, the company are approaching 2GWp of connected solar projects and we’re looking to add an England-based PM to join the team to facilitate the continued growth of the business.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Construction/Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
- On site management of utility scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
- Reviewing works against quality and contractual requirements.
- Responsibility for ensuring the highest HSQE standards are always maintained on site and in compliance with UK HSE and CDM regulations.
- Timely preparation of site HSE, progress and quality reporting.
- Coordination of subcontractors and all on site activities.
- Ensure site documentation is prepared and delivered for project handover and O&M or safety file compilation.
- Identify and escalate any risks to budget, programme or quality to Project Management team.
- Manage materials, logistics and deliveries on site.
- Interface management between stakeholders including: ICP, subcontractors, landowners, DNO’s, Client etc.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Experience with Renewable Energy technologies in the UK, preferably Solar PV and/or Battery Storage.
- SMSTS trained.
- Black CSCS card preferable.
- Strong preference for NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK).
- First Aid trained a plus.
- Fluent in English. German speaking a plus.
- Self-starter with commitment to self-development and passion for renewable energy.
- Flexible – the role will require managing a number of sites, staying locally for the construction phase.
- Desire to work in an international Company.
