Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the HV Operations Manager
you will:

Performing commissioning and testing of High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear and cables.

Electrical testing, inspection and fault finding.

Carrying out maintenance to High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment.

Managing and authorising permits for High Voltage switching and isolations.

Changing High Voltage components like switchgear and transformers where required.

Write risk assessments, method statements and other documentations.

Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Strong understanding of HV Electrical Networks, HV and LV protection systems and able to program protection relays.

Is SAP (Senior Authorised Person)

Aware and adheres to UK electrical regulations and standards.

Competent in installing HV and LV equipment, cable jointing and terminations.

Able to write reports, risk assessments, method statements and other reports.

Experienced in electrical fault finding and relay interrogation.

Qualified to HND/HNC standards in Electrical Engineering, Testing and Inspection, Installation or other electrically biased course.

Experienced in Electrical Commissioning, especially commissioning High Voltage components and equipment.

A Full UK Driving Licence is essential due to the travelling and often rural nature of the role.

Ideally holding relevant health and safety certifications.

Able to use MS office packages and competent at using computers.
