Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Solar Business Manager/ Technical Manager you will:

Be responsible for the design of high-quality electrical designs for solar PV systems, from feasibility to handover.

Be responsible for submitting DNO applications, queries regarding the design, and provide compliant design solutions.

Work in a team of technical designers, project managers and sales consultants to propose cost-effective and detailed technical designs which meet client specification.

Lead design meetings to establish brief, budgets and project requirements and collaborating with the electrical site supervisor and project manager.

Provide support to any queries regarding solar PV’s that arise internally.

Guide junior engineers.

Keep up to date with relevant technologies to advise the company on technology choices.

Support design of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and useful workplace.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Electrical qualification.
-
3+ years’ experience working on Solar PV projects on commercial or industrial levels.

Proven experience using CAD software to produce technical designs.
-
Experience working with solar PV batteries and parts lists beneficial.
-
Relevant experience in DNO applications.
