INTRODUCTION
Astute are working with a European leader in nuclear dismantling and waste management who are currently looking for a Waste Management Consultant to join their team.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Successful delivery of assignment Projects within the time, cost and quality constraints imposed.
- To provide technical environmental, waste management and characterisation services in support of all aspects of the Company’s business and fulfil specific contracts.
- Provide relevant input into business development elements as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as a member of a team/Project or where appropriate lead Consultancy projects in accordance with Cyclife UK Management arrangements
- Ensure the requirements of clients are understood, conducted and completed in accordance with arrangements
- To provide technical environmental, waste management and characterisation services in support of all aspects of the Company’s business and fulfil specific contracts.
TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Equivalent (Essential)
- PHE Foundation in Radiological Protection / AURPO Certificate of Professional Development in Radiation Protection
- C2 / C3 Training
- Hazardous Waste Legislation
- Class 7 Consignor
- LLWR Consignment Training / Waste Loading Plans
- EDF LLW Practitioner Training
- Risk Assessor Training
- Competencies / Skills
- Cyclife Process and Plant Knowledge
- Radiation Protection Supervisor
- Gamma Spec
EXPERIENCE OF (Essential):
Several Years’ experience in
Environmental Safety Case and/or
Waste Management and/or
Decommissioning Environment
(Ideally 5+)

Salary & Package
What’s on offer for this exciting role:
- Bristol or Gloucester location ideally though flexible as WFH with office visits 3-4 a month
- Able to spend c. 3days/week on site (HPB), ideally able to commute on daily basis but could be negotiated for the right candidate
- £45-55,000 dependant on experience
- Excellent Pension and package
