Construction Project Manager – Solar & Battery

Astute are proud to be partnered with a business that offer a range of services such as asset management technical support, financial and legal services to large scale Solar PV projects. With a strategic growth plan in place, a new and exciting new opportunity now exists for a Construction Project Manager to provide Project Management for the Construction Management team within the Services department to plan and execute a program of consented projects and work on a portfolio of ready to build solar and battery sites.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Construction Director you will be responsible for:

Manage a pipeline of Project work through all stages including identification, quotation, approval, scheduling, planning, execution, technical completion, de-snagging, invoicing and warranty claims.

Identify sources of new work from end of warranty inspections, maintenance inspection reports, serial defects and upgrade opportunities.

Forecast the team's long-term resource demand and supply. Action any imbalances.

Line managing a Site Manager(s) providing coaching, motivation and continuous improvement of quality standards.

Develop relationships with a selection of quality sub-contractors, managing their site works and providing timely feedback.

Draw up a consolidated ongoing Project Plan to identify the resources, materials, plant, procedures, costs and timeframes.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Experience managing a program of mechanical, electrical and civil project work

Experience working on Grid connected Power Generation sites

Experience producing project plans and programs
-
Experience managing solar/battery Principle and sub-contractors
-
Experience delivering projects safely, on time and on budget
-
Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering qualifications
-
Relevant safety qualifications such as IOSH or SMST
-
Knowledge of the construction activities for solar farms
Salary & Package
What’s on offer for this exciting role:
