Astute Technical are currently supporting a market leader in Fresh Produce with a new vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer. The purpose of the role is to maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment, and facilities in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure while reducing the mean time to repair.
This role is on a 4 on 4 off continental shift pattern.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out repairs to plant equipment and facilities maintenance
- Following planned work orders and PPM schedules
- Plan workload to optimise production
- Report faults, breakdown root causes and any concerns to management
- Assist with movement, installation and reinstallation of machinery and equipment
- Ensure all paperwork is up to date and recorded correctly
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Apprenticeship or Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience maintaining process plant equipment
- Experience with circuitry
