Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Nuclear Safety Case Specialist to join one of the industry leaders in hazardous waste management across the UK at their nuclear licenced site in Dorset. Working as their Nuclear Safety Case Specialist, you will be working as part of their core team to support in the development and management of their new 10 year nuclear safety case, operating until 2033.
Roles & Responsibilities
Working as the Nuclear Safety Case Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting with the development of their safety case for their licenced site in Dorset. This will include:

Developing their Management of Change (MoC) Assessments, BAT Assessments, Radiological Dose Assessments, Site Wide Environmental Safety Case (SWESC) and Waste Management Plan (WMP).

Delivering SSHEQ objectives in line with both company and site requirements, promoting the best culture across the site and all stakeholders.

Maintaining their new operational safety case, ensuring full compliance and supporting with all technical documentation relating to this.

Lead all modifications to the safety case in line with new projects and programmes.

Act as Lead Author and Design Authority for our EA Site Wide Environmental Safety Case (SWESC) and Waste Management Plan (WMP), ensuring compliance with the EA and the environmental permits.

Provide technical support to assure compliance with the licensing requirements of the Nuclear Site Licence, liaising effectively with nuclear regulators.

All other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Candidates must have a background working within the Nuclear industry, supporting site safety case management and compliance requirements at a senior level.
Candidates should have strong technical report writing skills, be able to deliver key SSHEQ objectives, nuclear regulatory submissions and have a good understanding of safety case development.
Due to the nature of the role, practical experience on a nuclear site is beneficial and all candidates must be able to hold and maintain national security clearance.
Salary & Package

Basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000
