Astute’s Renewable Energy team is partnering with a large waste management company with a commitment to improving commercial sustainability. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician for their West Midlands site.
The highly valued Maintenance Technician role comes with a salary of £38,000-£40,000 DOE, pension, ongoing career development and training, life assurance as well as generous retail, holiday, travel and leisure discounts. This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off and repeat.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will:

Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance work
-
Examine and diagnose faults on plant and related equipment
-
Complete service, replacement, repair and installation work to the required standards
-
Review activities and implement necessary corrective actions
-
Comply and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations
-
Other duties as required
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline
Personal skills:
The Maintenance Technician role would suit someone who:
-
Has at least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician
-
Previous experience working in a similar industrial or plant environment
-
Is able to carry out shutdowns and repairs as well as full maintenance work

Prior experience in temporary repairs
