Make an impactful difference every day in an organization committed to quality and patient care. As a Medical Billing Coordinator, your role is vital to managing and optimizing our billing processes. You’ll work closely with the healthcare team to ensure claims are processed efficiently, accurately, and promptly, supporting smooth operations and excellent patient service. What You’ll Do As a Medical Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for
  • Monitoring the ready-to-bill file to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner
  • Verifying that all necessary paperwork and documentation are complete before billing
  • Submitting claims within 3 business days of readiness
  • Participating in care conferences and related meetings as needed
  • Ensuring billing accuracy for units, charges, and contract expectations
  • securing authorizations before claim submission when required
  • Responding to patient and client inquiries regarding billing and services
  • Collaborating with collections to resolve outstanding claims
  • Reviewing claims in the electronic system to ensure they are transmitted correctly and accepted as clean claims
  • Alerting management about missing or late documentation
  • Assisting with billing data entry, project tasks, and system operations
  • Recommending policy or process improvements for reimbursement practices
  • Monitoring aged accounts receivable and resubmitting overdue bills
  • Submitting seriously overdue accounts to collections and preparing bad debt reports
What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • At least 2 years of experience in insurance verification and medical billing, specifically with home infusion and specialty pharmacy claims
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven ability to handle complaints and questions from patients and clients professionally
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of insurance plans, billing procedures, and healthcare documentation
  • Experience with electronic billing systems such as Change Healthcare or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of healthcare coding and compliance regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
