We are seeking a Compounding Technician for a full-time position for our client, a growing compounding pharmacy located in the healthcare sector, located in Worthington, Ohio. The Compounding Technician will prepare non-sterile pharmaceutical compounds according to USP standards and contribute to establishing efficient workflows. The Compounding Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate medication preparation while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
As a Compounding Technician, you will be responsible for:
? Prepare and compound non-sterile medications according to prescriptions and established formulations
? Follow USP guidelines and requirements for non-sterile compounding
? Maintain accurate records of all compounds prepared, including lot numbers and expiration dates
? Clean and maintain compounding equipment and work areas according to protocols
? Assist in developing and improving workflow processes and standard operating procedures
? Monitor inventory levels and alert management when supplies need to be ordered
? Perform quality control checks on prepared compounds
? Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure all preparations meet quality and safety standards
? Document all compounding activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
? Previous experience in non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding, preferably in a hospital setting
? Pharmacy Technician Certification
? Thorough understanding of USP requirements for non-sterile compounding
? Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
? Proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute ideas for process improvement
? Excellent organizational and time management skills
? Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
