As an Ambulatory Pharmacist, you'll play a vital role in supporting both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations. You’ll manage central pharmacy duties such as order verification, IV preparation, and NARS checking, with opportunities to rotate into specialized outpatient areas like anti-coagulation and oncology clinics. Inpatient experience is preferred but not required—training is available for motivated candidates eager to learn new skills.

What You'll Do

As an Ambulatory Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
  • Verifying medication orders and ensuring accuracy for inpatient and outpatient prescriptions.
  • Preparing and dispensing IV medications, maintaining sterile compounding standards.
  • Conducting Non-Adherence Risk Screening (NARS) checks to ensure medication safety.
  • Rotating through outpatient clinics such as anti-coagulation and oncology to provide direct patient medication counseling.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapies for diverse patient populations.
  • Maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
  • Participating in rotating schedule shifts that include days, evenings, and every third to fourth weekends, with scheduled rotation for late evening shifts.
  • Adapting to a dynamic, constantly rotating schedule designed to meet organizational needs and ensure robust pharmacy services.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PharmD degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Basic pharmacy licensure in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior inpatient experience is preferred but not required; commitment to professional development is essential.
  • Ability to work independently, with a collaborative approach to patient care.
