Job Title: Welder/Fabricator Urgently Hiring  Pay: $23/hr Hours: 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Welder/Fabricator for a full time position for our client, a local company that custom designs and manufactures state-of-the-art automated and computerized Material Handling Systems, all designed and manufactured at their plant in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.. The Welder/Fabricator will have experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, particularly in a construction site environment. This role requires proficiency in working with sheet metal and the ability to operate power tools, plasma cutting equipment, and forklifts. This is a full time, first shift position located in Charlotte, NC.  

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld metal components based on blueprints and specifications.
  • Operate plasma cutters and power tools to shape and prepare materials.
  • Perform stick welding and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) for metal assembly.
  • Inspect finished products using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction site projects to meet deadlines.
  • Safely operate forklifts and cranes for material handling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or in a similar role on construction sites.
  • Skilled in sheet metal fabrication and welding techniques, including stick and FCAW welding.
  • Proficient with power tools, plasma cutting equipment, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for accurate measurements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and standards.
