Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a multinational retail and wholesale company that operates grocery stores and e-commerce businesses in Europe and the United States and we are looking for a Manager of Business Initiatives!  This is a full time 1st shift position in Salisbury, NC. This is a temporary role set to last up to one year Hybrid Schedule: Monday and Wednesday in office, plus at least one other day of your choosing; option to work two days at home. Pay: Up to $48.08/hr DOE, negotiable (weekly pay) Position Summary: Lead and manage initiatives generating over $20B in sales. Oversee annual planning and review for leading grocery retailer’s business initiatives. Support decision-making when prioritizing initiatives, ensuring visibility and understanding possible impacts. You will organize and communicate strategic plans to enhance market competitiveness, sales, profitability, innovation, associate experience and customer loyalty. Schedule and lead regular updates to brand leaders on initiative progress. Collaborate with finance and other teams to develop financial performance decks, providing insights for executive leaders. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead planning sessions with Brand leaders (e.g., Retail Operations, Category, Merchandising, Pricing, Marketing, Business Planning/Strategy, Finance) to evaluate critical initiatives
  • Recommend plan modifications to support Brand strategy and organizational goals, providing insights and leading teams to achieve specific outcomes
  • Identify opportunities, gaps and resource constraints (e.g., IT, financial, human), and advise leaders for informed decision-making when trade-offs are required
  • Identify risks and create alignment when initiatives overlap, providing guidance for schedule or process changes
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and tracking processes, including KPI’s, for all key initiatives
  • Provide weekly updates to senior leadership on the status and financial performance of Brand initiatives
  • Collaborate with Finance Team on financial models to support decisions and strategic direction of major projects and key initiatives
  • Lead high-profile projects and initiatives to support Brand strategy development and execution, delivering professional communications to all levels of leadership
  • Develop and provide detailed ad hoc data and analyses based on key leader requests, offering business development services to projects and initiatives for support, structure and efficiency
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience with a strong GPA
  • 5+ years in retail operations, merchandising, pricing, and/or marketing
  • Extensive knowledge of supermarket industry practices and trends
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across departments without direct authority
  • At least 5 years of combined experience in retail operations, merchandising, pricing and/or marketing
  • Experience in consulting, finance and/or project management
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong networking skills, capable of developing and maintaining robust partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and lead others without direct authority
  • Proficient in negotiation, decision-making and facilitation
  • Skilled in storytelling, with the ability to analyze data and present compelling narratives to influence all levels of leadership
