Job Title: Mill Helper

Pay: $19-$20 per hour Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday through Friday) Start Date: ASAP

As a Mill Helper, you'll support the mill operation team by assisting with various tasks that keep production running smoothly. You'll work closely with a Mill Operator to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced setting and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do

As a Mill Helper, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the operator in loading coils onto the pay-off reel
• Operating jib cranes safely and efficiently
• Setting up and tearing down exit end racking
• Helping stack finished goods into proper packaging
• Cleaning and painting equipment to maintain safety and efficiency
• Banding and wrapping finished products per packaging specifications
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervision

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to read measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Understanding of manufacturing orders, quality check sheets, and part drawings (preferred but not required)
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Required Skills: Tape Measure, Math Aptitude
