Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining parts inventory, ensuring critical materials are always in stock, and supporting our production and maintenance teams by providing the right parts when needed. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Receive and record materials and parts into the company database.
Order and purchase parts, verifying part numbers and preparing purchase requests.
Maintain accurate inventory records and weekly spending reports.
Communicate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
Inspect incoming purchases against invoices and stock parts in appropriate bins.
Maintain a pending file of purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure essential parts are always available to support operations.
Complete all required paperwork before the end of each shift.
Keep the parts room organized, clean, and safe.
Follow all company policies, including safety procedures, GMPs, and work rules.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Sanitation Duties:
Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) at all times.
Maintain all parts storage areas in a neat and orderly condition.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1+ years of experience in parts department operations or related field.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with computer database inventory systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail when handling inventory and financial records.
Basic understanding of financial principles related to inventory management.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must possess/maintain a valid license to operate applicable equipment.
Must be physically able to:
Lift up to 50 lbs. and carry parts upstairs.
Climb ladders, crawl under/onto equipment, and work in tight spaces.
Move throughout all areas of the plant.
