General Maintenance Technician $28-38/hr 1st & 3rd Shift 7am to 3:30pm   SUMMARY: Responsible for performing non-complex maintenance and repairs on a variety of routine manufacturing repairs, including mechanical equipment an all operations related to manufacturing. Assist in maintaining grounds of facility. Backup other maintenance personnel on projects as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Perform maintenance and repairs involving some of the following: Observes functioning of all areas of the production facility to detect hazards, problems and the need for service repair and or replacement of mechanical components. • Troubleshoot diagnose and repair mechanical system problems such as motor starters, proximity switches, photo-eyes, contactor, and relay base, using root cause analysis principles and taking corrective action to repairing or replacing electrical and mechanical component. • Respond to work order requests, completing in a timely manner and closing tickets • Follow preventive maintenance schedule for manufacturing. Keep neat and accurate repair records and other department information such as walk-throughs and daily inspection on equipment in the building. • Demonstrate professionalism and self-motivation in order to perform routine duties, and assist others including outside vendors, as scheduled or required • Identify and troubleshoot sources of mechanical failure. Make recommendations and report problems to immediate Supervisor for future improvements on equipment in the manufacturing facility   #AIS11
