As you know every public transaction today wants a survey. I don't really do them.
Some things are more important and take priority over other matters. This is one of them.
Mike is great. I'm just getting to know him. I knew Scott Cohen for many years. I was so sad to hear about his passing.
He brought integrity to ACG in how professional he was. He was like a silent waiter he knew just when you needed his help and at other times just let you be until you were ready for the next move. He also new the marketplace including the owners story from the inside. He told you just the way it was and what to avoid.
I'm changeling myself again now. What's more important is that I want to bring my years of experience, knowledge and work ethic to someone who really needs & appreciates the help.
We have a different generation of Agency ownership today. Perhaps a family assuming the business but don't have the background, knowledge or the backbone to work smartly and run their business professionally. Lots of this out there today. They just keep churning & burning out their employees. It takes great management skills to keep the correct balance.
Its a tight & hard market that demands good quality experience. A good Agency must be well balanced with a fine reputation and at the same time adopt new technologies. Insurance Coverage has become very complex now and I don't see it easing up in the future.
Its' much easier if you have the experience and know exactly what to to.
