Rob called me about the job role and spec. Within 48hrs I had an interview and the same day offered the role. I have accepted the role and Rob has from the start of the process, given me support, good time line management, Email and follow up telephone calls all the way through the Process from start to finish. I would certainly be passing my colleagues Robs contact details.

Rob was very good, he followed up as soon as he could with feedback from the company and the interviews I had. Very pleasant to deal with and would certainly recommend to deal with him in future.

I was contacted by Rob through LinkedIn, and asked if my details could be forwarded to a company with a vacancy that he felt was just what I was after and just what the Company needed in me. He was dead right on both accounts! In the space of two weeks, Rob spoke with me every day, and helped to guide me through application, interview and the negotiation process - ending with me accepting a new role in a new location, and I'm very much looking forward to starting the next chapter of my career. Rob is so easy to liaise with and down to earth. He listens to what you have to say and takes it on board. He even spoke with me outside of business hours when I needed to run things by him - now that's incredible service! A tip-top bloke and a damn fine recruiter. Hopefully we'll keep in touch. I'm pretty sure I owe this man a pint!

He first took the initiative in approaching me about another role months ago. It wasn’t a good enough match for my needs. When he contacted me about this role, I was surprised to hear from him and more surprised by some of the details he had remembered about me. He has a positive, engaging style and the flow of the discussions always left me with the impression that he had actively listened to my responses. There were only a few occasions when I had to correct his what he was feeding back to me during our discussions. He was mostly very quick to respond however we did have a few challenges connecting with each other sometimes out of ‘normal’ office hours. I think I had too many numbers and may not have been using the right one at the right time. He was generous with his advice and support on the client, the process and the best way to approach the interviews/discussion with the client. He was obviously persuasive with the client in terms of setting up interviews around my unavoidable, immovable commitments. He was cautious about the client’s willingness to flex the package on minimum salary so much so that I thought there was no chance. I was surprised when he came back and advised that this wasn’t an issue - I wonder if he learned something about his client from that? Maybe the Astute review covers lessons from campaigns? He has shown patience, resilience and determination. His interpersonal skills, particularly his attention to remembering small personal details and willingness to offer advice and support inspired confidence. We are at the stage where the rest of the negotiation on the package is best done between me and the client. I’ve got no experience in this part of the process and whilst it’s right that the conversation is between us, I would have liked more sense of where to pitch a reasonable but beneficial opening request. I realise this is tricky because the client is looking for a consultant that provides value. I have already said to R that if this doesn’t work out, I’d happily work with him as a candidate in future. He’s exceeded my experience of working with consultants in the past 6 years.
