Alexis's Bio

Hey Yall! I have been a recruiter since graduating college from the University of Texas in 2014! I worked at my first company, Randstad for 3 years before transitioning to Totalmed in 2017. I have found a home here and have really enjoyed working with this team. I definitely try to focus on making your experience as enjoyable as possible. Whether that is a transition from staff nurse to traveler or by helping you realize how a recruiter/traveler relationship can be so life changing or different from your normal 'sales man' relationship. I try to make sure i'm fast to get back quickly to inquiries, but also handle problems between departments such as HR, payroll, & compliance. I want to help be an advocate for my travelers, while reassuring them that they work with someone who has their back. I truly am looking to work with people who want a transparent, honest, enjoyable working relationship!

I am an outgoing person who loves to travel the world and adventure around Austin, TX. I have a 7 year old Mini Australian Shepard pup that is the light of my life!! I enjoy gardening and plants as well as art and yoga! I purchased my first house that I moved into around Thanksgiving 2021. Been learning the ropes as a new home owner. Follow along on Facebook to see some of the jobs and other content or announcements I post!
Thank you for all that you do nurses <3

About Alexis Dunbar:

Alexis has been phenomenal since day one of working with her! My previous recruiter switched jobs in the middle of my contract, I was a little nervous starting with someone different since I had establish great rapport with my previous recruiter, but Alexis exceeded my expectations. She took the time to get caught up to speed on my current assignment as well as touch base on my current applications to other positions. This transition had every reason to be chaotic and stressful, but Alexis came in and was diligent to make sure all of my tasks at hand were addressed. I appreciate her open communication between me and other team members of TotalMed, and her ability to always be proactive instead of reactive. I would recommend her to anyone!
