About Austin Chavez:

Although a policy by Loyal Source disallowed my employment, I would have to say, this is one of the greatest interviews I have ever completed. Austin was patient, kind, and genuinely understanding of my circumstance. Although, I am not allowed to be certified due to a loophole in AANP's policy, Austin carefully listened to my reasoning surrounding the gap that created this loophole and, as promised, went on to his manager to ask if there could be a place for me without this certificate. I have not been treated so professionally for such a long time, it brought me to tears. Here's why... Roughly 15 years ago, just 15 seconds changed my entire life when a drunk driver hit me. This resulted in a traumatic brain injury and many more injuries and illnesses. I also suffer from intractable migraine, and hydrocephalus. I've had two neurosurgeries, a gauntlet of tests and medications therapies and spent roughly $1,000,000 ; then fought like a lioness to be able to come back to nursing. When I came back from my injury, I was told that my Master's Degree would never be certifiable ever again, because when I was sick, I couldn't make the thousand practice hours and our certifying body is no longer granting certificates for Adult NPs. Now, I said all that to say this, Austin waited patiently for me to tell him this story and promised to pass it on. I have the requisite experience for this positions basically having worked with the military over two years as well as doing Mobilization/Demobilization/Disability Exams as well as sick call at the Troop Medical Clinic. I know the lingo, command structure, basics of MOBs. So, after discussing it, Austin and I felt like it was worth the chance to try for the job. I think most recruiters would have just hung up straightaway. I am not sure if LS is hiring and RNs, if they are, I would like to discuss a potential as a RN candidate. If you have any, I would love to work with Austin.
