IDR is hiring for a AWS Cloud Engineer

Join a dynamic organization at the forefront of cloud innovation within the education sector, supporting significant projects like building internal portals for staff and students. This role offers the chance to work on large-scale cloud infrastructure initiatives in a collaborative environment that values technical expertise and continuous learning. This position is onsite in Suwanee, GA, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Position Overview for the AWS Cloud Engineer:

• Serve as the technical leader for AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions across projects • Build, configure, and maintain AWS services including EC2, S3, Identity Center, and networking components • Collaborate with internal teams to clean up and optimize existing cloud infrastructure and support migration efforts from legacy systems • Perform deep cloud consumption analysis, implement cost-saving strategies, and optimize cloud resources • Lead security remediation efforts to ensure compliance and best practices in AWS environments

Requirements for the AWS Cloud Engineer:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Cloud Operations Engineer (Associate level or above) • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Identity Center, EC2, S3, and networking • Experience in cloud infrastructure build-out, optimization, and security hardening • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to serve as Tier 3 escalation point • Open to learning Azure and working across multiple clouds with support from Azure-certified colleagues
