IDR is seeking a Monitoring and Automation Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity.

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise monitoring and observability solutions within a highly technical environment. The position requires collaboration with network engineering, operations, DevOps, and IT Service Management teams to improve network visibility, automation, and operational efficiency.

Position Overview for the Monitoring and Automation Engineer:

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting telemetry collection, dashboards, and integrations to monitor network infrastructure and services.
• This role includes configuring and managing tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and integrating these platforms with ServiceNow for incident and workflow automation.
• The position involves troubleshooting data collection and visualization issues, partnering closely with operational teams to improve network reliability, and documenting monitoring architecture and procedures.

Requirements for the Monitoring and Automation Engineer:

• Experience administering and supporting Prometheus and Grafana in production environments.
• Strong understanding of telemetry collection from network devices and infrastructure systems.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain custom Grafana dashboards and visualizations.
• Experience integrating monitoring, observability, or event management platforms with ServiceNow.
• Understanding of ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and knowledge management.
