IDR is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves providing onsite operational support at a data center, focusing on physical infrastructure activities, inventory management, and coordination with technical teams and vendors. The organization is a leading provider of data center solutions and infrastructure services.

Position Overview for the IT Operations Specialist:

• Provide onsite operational support at the data center facility.
• Support physical infrastructure activities, including server and storage hardware.
• Manage inventory control, documentation, and coordination with project managers, technical teams, and vendors.
• Respond to on-demand operational assignments and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with data center safety, operational, and security standards.

Requirements for the IT Operations Specialist:

• Foundational understanding of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and structured cabling.
• Basic familiarity with rack layouts and physical hardware configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment quotes, packing slips, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of standard data center safety, compliance, and operational practices.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
