IDR is seeking a Contract Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role offers an exciting chance to oversee large-scale contract operations within a government or public sector environment. Position Overview for the Contract Manager:
- Performs contract administration work involving the oversight, execution, and administration of large-scope or high-dollar contracts.
- Defines requirements, negotiates, awards, develops, and monitors contracts.
- Oversees or prepares the scope of work, specifications, and conditions for new contracts and onboards new contracts.
- Monitors contract performance by developing and tracking key metrics.
- Coordinates the processing of contract documents to ensure clear understanding and approval by management.
Requirements for the Contract Manager:
- 5+ years of experience leading competitive bidding processes (Request for Proposals, Request for Information, Invitation for Bids, etc.) and contract negotiations.
- 5+ years of experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Government Agencies contracting; relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Knowledge of negotiation strategies and techniques; contract administration and cost monitoring for large-scope or high-dollar contracts.
- Experience with systems and procedures used to evaluate third-party vendor performance.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to the administration of federal or state funds.
