Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Director of Engineering:
• Lead and develop high-performing software engineering teams, including both onshore and offshore resources, to deliver scalable and high-quality software solutions.
• Manage and mentor Engineering Managers and individual contributors, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology standards.
• Oversee system architecture, including Azure hosting and Microsoft SQL database design, while implementing application monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and data protection.
• Champion the integration of AI tools and automation within the software engineering pipeline to enhance productivity and accelerate delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to align technical execution with strategic roadmaps and business value.
Required Skills for Director of Engineering:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing multiple teams.
• Proven expertise in Azure cloud services and Microsoft SQL database design and optimization.
• Experience with application monitoring tools and performance/security monitoring solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
