Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior High Voltage Cable Design Engineer:

• Design, develop, and optimize high voltage cable systems
• Conduct thermal, mechanical, and electrical analyses 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and integration
• Travel for site assessments, customer visits, and industry conferences (15-20%)
• Work in a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote; flexible week-to-week) in HUNTERSVILLE, NC

Required Skills for Sr Engineer High Voltage Cable Design:

• 5-7 years of direct experience with high voltage cables, overhead lines, and underground transmission systems
• Strong track record in design, analysis, and performance evaluation  
• Solid foundation in electrical engineering, with a preference for candidates with high voltage expertise  
• Familiarity with industry standards: CEA, AEIC, IEC, IEEE
• Proficiency in CYMCAP Software for cable ampacity calculations, thermal analysis, and system optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to travel and adapt to hybrid work schedules
