Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Analytics Engineer:

  • Design and build healthcare data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts

  • Lead the development of scalable and efficient data models to answer business questions efficiently

  • Collaborate with leadership to interpret the impacts to cost and quality of initiatives using relevant data sources and analytic platforms

  • Build BI dashboards to allow easy understanding of the data and implications

  • Develop and implement data quality control processes

  • Participate in data governance and security initiatives

  • This is a 4-6 month contract with potential for conversion based on performance

Required Skills for Analytics Engineer:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience as a data engineer, with specific experience in healthcare preferred

  • Strong SQL and database design skills

  • Programming in at least one language such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, etc

  • Experience with ETL tools, such as dbt, Apache Nifi or Talend

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA

  • Familiarity with modern data tooling (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, AWS, Stitch, Fivetran, etc.)

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
