Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Analytics Engineer:
Design and build healthcare data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts
Lead the development of scalable and efficient data models to answer business questions efficiently
Collaborate with leadership to interpret the impacts to cost and quality of initiatives using relevant data sources and analytic platforms
Build BI dashboards to allow easy understanding of the data and implications
Develop and implement data quality control processes
Participate in data governance and security initiatives
This is a 4-6 month contract with potential for conversion based on performance
Required Skills for Analytics Engineer:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
4+ years of experience as a data engineer, with specific experience in healthcare preferred
Strong SQL and database design skills
Programming in at least one language such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, etc
Experience with ETL tools, such as dbt, Apache Nifi or Talend
Familiarity with healthcare data standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA
Familiarity with modern data tooling (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, AWS, Stitch, Fivetran, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
