Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Test Engineer I:

• Execute HVAC product testing daily including the data collection and summarization of test results. 
• Identify and setup test equipment necessary for completion of each HVAC product test. 
• Perform special testing including air leakage, airflow measurement, and simulated transportation testing of HVAC product. 
• Work with management and engineering teams to develop test plans & schedules. 
• Assist with coordinating calibration activities with third party vendors. 
• Develop work instructions applicable to laboratory activities. 
• Research and implement test standards for specific HVAC product testing. 
• Prepare and plan HVAC product certification testing for UL and EPA requirements. 
• Support third party testing of HVAC products for research and strategic initiatives. 
• Support annual offsite testing of HVAC product for AHRI certification.
• Prepared to travel 10% of the time.

Required Skills for the Test Engineer I:

• B.S. in engineering degree, equivalent military experience, or 8+ years related work experience. 
• Basic understanding of AC & DC circuits (required). 
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics (highly preferred).
• 1+ years experience in HVAC, Refrigeration or a related field (preferred). 
• 1+ year experience in a testing or laboratory environment (preferred). 
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills. 
• Team oriented, self-motivated and analytical approach to problem solving.

• Proficient in Python, Matlab, and Robotics Analysis; experience with firmware adaptation for microcontrollers, multi-core microcontroller architecture, and MCAL configurations (CAN, PWM, ADC, I/O, etc.).
• Knowledge in Diagnostics stack, Communications Stack, Memory Stack, Bootloader Integration, Flash Bootloaders, SWC creation, and RTW Configuration.
• Experience with change management tools and methodologies such as Jira, Bit Bucket, Git, Doors, and PTC.
