IDR is seeking a DBA to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will help maintain the availability, performance, and security of enterprise databases that support mission-critical applications, partnering closely with development and infrastructure teams.
Position Overview for the DBA:
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise database environments supporting production applications
- Optimize database performance through tuning, monitoring, and ongoing health checks
- Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning to ensure continuity and resilience
- Implement database security controls, access management, and compliance-aligned best practices
- Support database upgrades, migrations, and documentation while collaborating with developers on database design
Requirements for the DBA:
- 4+ years of database administration experience supporting production environments
- Strong experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and SQL
- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and performance tuning in enterprise databases
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving database and production issues
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Tier 2 background investigation (or currently possess one)
