IDR is seeking a Remote Software Engineer to join one of our top clients in LA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge internal tools for a highly efficient analyst team, pushing the limits of the Elixir programming language.

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Software Engineer:

• Implement major features in a web application with Phoenix LiveView in Elixir

• Collaborate closely with analysts to respond to feature requests and troubleshoot issues

• Work with external teams to integrate new data sources

• Support the creation of a platform for analysts to host and share insights

• Maintain consistent availability to work hours between 10AM - 6PM PST with some additional flexibility

Required Skills for Software Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Strong expertise in full stack web development

• Proficiency in Elixir and familiarity with Phoenix Liveview

• Experience working with API endpoints, GraphQL, MySQL, and NoSQL

• Proven ability to identify and fix bugs in live services based on logging and metrics
