SAS Administrator/Support Analyst Terms: All Capgemini contracts are ongoing with a right to hire after 3 months. Conversion at 90 days is rare and pre-specified by Capgemini, but the right to hire remains in place. Target Pay Rate: $48/hr C2C Location: Overland Park, KS Work schedule details: Onsite Details: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAS Administrator/Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our SAS environment. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our SAS platform. This position requires strong technical skills in SAS administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach to providing support. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain SAS software and related components (e.g., SAS Grid Manager, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, SAS Visual Analytics). Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for the SAS environment. Manage SAS users, security, and access controls. Troubleshoot and resolve SAS platform issues, providing timely and effective support to users. Apply SAS software updates, patches, and upgrades. Develop and maintain documentation for SAS environment configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure the SAS environment aligns with organizational standards and policies. Automate routine SAS administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting, Python). Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for the SAS environment. Stay current with the latest SAS technologies and best practices. Provide training and guidance to SAS users on platform usage and best practices. Manage and support SAS metadata. Contribute to the design and implementation of new SAS solutions and integrations. Required Skills: SAS Administration: Proven experience (minimum [Specify Number] years) in administering SAS platforms in a Linux/Unix or Windows environment. Strong understanding of SAS architecture, including metadata server, compute server, workspace server, and web application server. Experience with SAS installation, configuration, and upgrades (e.g., SAS 9.x, Viya). Proficiency in managing SAS users, groups, and security permissions. Experience with SAS Grid Manager administration and workload management. Knowledge of SAS storage management and data access methods. Operating Systems: Solid understanding of Linux/Unix or Windows server operating systems. Experience with command-line interface and basic system administration tasks. Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Shell scripting, Python) for automation and system administration tasks. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.   Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and data access methods within SAS. Required Certifications: One or more of the following SAS certifications: SAS Certified Platform Administrator for SAS 9 SAS Certified System Administrator for SAS Viya Other relevant SAS certifications may be considered. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, including services relevant to data and analytics. Experience with Databricks, including its integration with SAS or its use in a broader data ecosystem. Experience with Snowflake, including its integration with SAS or its use as a data warehouse. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SAS Environment Manager, Grafana, Prometheus). Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices for incident and change management. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
