Senior Web/API Developer

Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
Location: Remote or Hartford, CT
C2C Pay Rate: $62/HR

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with product managers and fellow developers to deliver high-impact digital products.
Lead the design and implementation of secure, optimized web-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
Leverage cloud technologies and platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes.
Utilize modern CI/CD tools including IntelliJ/STS, GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus for efficient development and deployment pipelines.
Integrate secure authentication and authorization methods using JWT, OAuth, and other industry standards.
Translate product visions and user requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies and contribute to story grooming, design documentation, and technical planning.
Ensure system performance, scalability, and availability by building high-quality, enterprise-grade applications.

Required Qualifications:

7–9 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying web-based applications.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and API design.
Experience with DevOps, Cloud Platforms (especially OCP/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of modern security practices and protocols (JWT, OAuth).
