IDR is seeking an Incident Response Intern to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role offers hands-on experience in cybersecurity, focusing on intrusion detection and incident response in a fast-paced, technically advanced environment. The position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills within a leading cybersecurity operations center.

Position Overview for the Incident Response Intern:

• Assist with monitoring network traffic for suspicious activity and performing incident response investigations.
• Learn to create detailed incident reports and contribute to the development of incident response strategies.
• Support various shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24x7 cybersecurity coverage.
• Work under the guidance of the Cybersecurity Operations Center team lead to uphold security protocols.
• Leverage cutting-edge tools and techniques to help maintain the security and integrity of organizational assets.

Requirements for the Incident Response Intern:

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including intrusion detection, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Capability to think critically and make quick decisions during high-stress situations.
• Awareness of current cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow established incident response procedures.
