AEM Tech Lead 
  • Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
  • Location: Chicago Heights, IL
  • C2C Pay Rate: $85/HR
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions built on the Adobe platform (AEM, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Media).

  • Build and manage interactive, multilingual interfaces with consistent user experiences across devices.

  • Convert client-provided content into structured AEM content and components.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate conceptual needs into technical solutions.

  • Prototype and test interactive components and user flows.

  • Troubleshoot production and non-production issues, ensuring SLAs are met.

  • Work closely with DevOps to implement continuous integration and delivery using Git, Jenkins, Adobe Cloud Manager, and Bitbucket.

  • Guide junior developers and lead a technical stream within an Agile Scrum team.

  • Participate in architectural design discussions and create scalable, secure, and maintainable AEM solutions.

  • Support integration efforts with third-party systems (Salesforce, Google APIs, Guidewire, etc.).

  • Deliver high-quality documentation and lead client workshops, demos, and training sessions.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and delivery excellence initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience, with 8+ years in AEM development and architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Adobe Marketing Cloud, including AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and Dynamic Media.
  • Proven success architecting and implementing AEM-based digital solutions.
  • Hands on experience with Dispatcher configurations, OSGi services and AEM back-end development, Integration with external systems, User/group permission management via Cloud Admin console and IMS SSO, AWS Lambda and API Gateway
  • Strong background in Java, JavaScript, REST, JSON, XML, LDAP, SAML, and network protocols (HTTP/S, DNS, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Sonar, Splunk) and DevOps environments.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
  • Adobe Certified Master – AEM Sites Architect certification is highly preferred.
