Location: Barnegat Township School District – Barnegat, NJ 08005

Program: K–8 Autism Program Start Date: ASAP End Date: June 18, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 hours per day (25 hours per week) Pay: $70/hr Position Overview:

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide behavioral support within a K–8 Autism Program, focusing on promoting positive student outcomes through classroom collaboration, staff training, and implementation of behavioral strategies. This is a part-time role providing supplemental behavioral support to the district’s existing full-time behaviorist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support students within classroom environments.

  • Conduct and assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop corresponding Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

  • Provide direct and indirect behavior analytic services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental needs.

  • Offer modeling, coaching, and training to staff on behavioral strategies and classroom management.

  • Monitor, collect, and analyze behavioral data to guide interventions and adjust plans as needed.

  • Support district initiatives and participate in team meetings as required.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school district and state standards.

Caseload Details:
  • Program serves approximately 48 students across multiple classrooms.

  • No fixed caseload — BCBA will rotate between classrooms based on needs and priorities determined by the onsite team.

Qualifications:
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

  • Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to adapt and work flexibly across multiple classrooms and grade levels.
